Reverend Kara Eidson
Rev. Kara Eidson was raised in the suburbs of the Kansas City area, finished her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Missouri State University in 2004, and completed her Master of Divinity at Duke Divinity School in 2007. She was ordained as an elder in The United Methodist Church in 2010. She has served in ministry in urban, suburban, and rural areas. In 2022, Kara published her first book with Westminster John Knox, A Time to Grow: Lenten Lessons From the Garden to the Table. When she isn't working or writing, she loves spending time with her husband, working in the garden with their small flock of chickens and 2 goats.
John Cheffey, Choir Director
John gives lovingly of his musical talent every Sunday leading the OUMC church choir. He has a degree in Music Education and currently works in manufacturing management.
